BLUE MINK TABBY:
2016 - 2019 CFA Bengal Standard for BLUE MINK TABBY:
(Rosetted/Spotted, Marble, Charcoal): Ground color can range from ivory to rich cream, with color on chest and belly lighter. Markings may vary from medium blue to dark slate blue, and be clearly visible. The point color should not be significantly darker than the body markings. Color around the eyes, temples, and muzzle is lighter. Tail tip should be dark slate blue. NOSE LEATHER: Pink to brick red. PAW PADS: Slate Blue. EYE COLOR: Aqua (Varies from blue/green to turquoise)

NOTE: Rose highlight indicates a "Strike-through" of wording in the Bengal Breed standard to be removed. Gold highlight indicates an "underline" which is new wording being proposed to add in to the Bengal Standard.
1. Accept the proposed 2018 CFA Ballot section for BLUE MINK TABBY with a few changes to incorporate other necessary aspects:
Ground Color ranges from ivory to rich cream. Clearly visible markings range from medium blue to dark slate blue. Tail tip dark slate blue. NOSE LEATHER: pink to brick red. PAW PADS: slate blue with rose undertones allowed. EYE COLOR: Aqua. TAIL TIP: Medium slate blue.
Rationale:
A. 49% of the council already voted "YES" to this change.
B. Marianne's group paper also agreed with this section in 2017.
C. Shortens the standard.
D. Since the words "Medium Blue" doesn't use slate as an indicator of which blue color tone it is referring to, it can be easliy fixed by removing the word "Blue" that is immediately after the word "medium".
E. Adds in EYE COLOR to the 2018 proposed version.
F. Puts TAIL TIP at the end of the section as done in other colors for consistency.
Obstacle:
A. Medium to dark slate blue does not truly represent the "Blue Mink" color. Since this color is almost always lighter than their full dilute counterparts (Blue Bengals), then this color term may be better expressed by saying "light to medium slate blue". Only full colored "Dilutes" will get near "Darker Blue".
Note: TS only caught this after the ballot had been finalized. We will need to wait for this correction until the 2020 ballot.
PROPOSAL #60 ON THE 2019 BALLOT. Ballot Results: 40 yes, 27 no - 67 voters need 41 "yes" votes. Did not pass by 1 vote.

THIS IS CURRENTLY NOT BEING PROPOSED IN THE 2019 BALLOT IN FAVOR OF COMPROMISE PROPOSAL BELOW WHICH INCLUDES PREFERENCES FROM 2 LARGE GROUPS IN OUR COUNCIL.
