Breed Council Change Considerations:

NOTE:  Rose highlight indicates a "Strike-through" of wording in the Bengal Breed standard to be removed.  Gold highlight indicates an "underline" which is new wording being proposed to add in to the Bengal Standard.

1.  Accept proposed 2018 CFA Ballot section for BLUE SEPIA TABBY with a few adjustments:

Ground Color ranges from medium tan to medium blue.  Markings shades of darker blue with warm fawn overtones.  Tail tip dark slate blue.  NOSE LEATHER:  pink to brick red.  PAW PADS:  slate blue.  EYE COLOR:  Gold to Green  TAIL TIP:  Medium Slate Blue.

Rationale:

A.  49% voted "yes" for this last year

B.  Mariannes group also approved in 2017

C.  Adding in EYE COLOR and a slight correction on eye color in the current standard as some Sepias do not have a ring of green.    It's possible to have 2 rings of gold (but is very rarely seen)

D.  Capitalizing "TAIL TIP" and moving to the end to correlate with other color descriptions.

Obstacle:

PROPOSAL #61 ON THE 2019 BALLOT.  Ballot Results: 40 yes, 27 no - 67 voters need 41 "yes" votes to pass.  Did not pass by 1 vote.

Breed Council Change Considerations for 2019 that did not get on the Ballot:

A.  Accept proposed 2018 CFA Ballot section for BLUE SEPIA TABBY:

Ground Color ranges from medium tan to medium blue.  Markings shades of darker blue with warm fawn overtones.  Tail tip dark slate blue.  NOSE LEATHER:  pink to brick red.  PAW PADS:  slate blue.

Rationale:

A.  49% voted "yes" for this last year

B.  Mariannes group also approved in 2017

Obstacle:

1.  EYE COLOR is not addressed

2.  TAIL TIP is not in the same order as other coloration's.

3.  Tail tip will not be dark slate blue.  It will be lighther than Blue Bengals which would have a medium slate blue color.

THIS IS CURRENTLY NOT BEING PROPOSED IN THE 2019 BALLOT IN ORDER TO ADD EYE COLOR AND CHANGE POSITION ON TAIL TIP.
